2003 Remake of the 1971 'Ivy Shoe' By Manolo Blahnik for Ossie Clark
A truly whimsical shoe, this black suede sandal was originally created for Ossie Clark’s catwalk show by Manolo Blahnik in 1971. This was shortly before Blahnik opened his first boutique in London in 1973. The shoe was re-made for the Victoria & Albert Museum’s exhibition on Ossie Clark which ran from 15 July 2003 to 2 May 2004. This pair is from that series of remakes. The open toe shoe is covered in black suede with leaf shaped accents along the toe box, heel cap and along the long straps that tie up around the ankle. Finished with bright red suede cherries at the ends of the ankle straps. In excellent condition, marked a EU 38.5. Reinforced throughout with beige leather, bottoms have been resoled.
